• Meeting called to order 7:05 by Myron
• Treasurer's report balance of $2089.99 in account

Old Business:

• Club picnic date tentatively set for October 21, 3:00 at Caledon, to be followed by regularly schedules Star Party; Myron to confirm availability of pavilion
• Big Meadows Star Gaze - meet at Big Meadows fire road parking area, possibly branch off to alternate viewing sites

New Business:

• VAAS - Virginia Association of Astronomical Societies meeting at Randolph Macon College in Ashland, VA on September 30; log on to www.richastro.org to preregister
• Presentation of meteorite fragment to Myron in recognition of his years of dedicated service to the astronomy club
• Club directory needed; Tim to send out query to email list for updated contact information on members as well as interests and equipment lists

• November - improving the performance of a telescope; meeting to be held at Pizza Hut near college
