RAC is a non-profit organization of amateur astronomers located in the Fredericksburg Virginia area. We invite you to attend our monthly meetings and star parties to learn more about the night sky. Beginners welcome! 4 September 2010 - RAC star party at Caledon Natural Area. Sunset 7:35 PM, Moon Q4 20% illuminated, rising at 3:12 AM. Jupiter, Uranus & Neptune in eastern sky.
8 September 2010 - Monthly meeting at Central Rappahannock Regional Library, Headquarters Branch, A/V Room, back-left of new wing,1201 Caroline St, Fredericksburg. Meet & greet 6:45 PM; program 7:00 PM: "Measuring the Universe: Modern Methods", by Michael Masters. Business session follows, adjourn 9 PM.
11 September 2010 - RAC star party at Skyline Drive, Milam Gap parking area 1.5 miles south of Big Meadows. Sunset 7:24 PM, Moon Q1 15% illuminated, setting at 9:05 PM, Jupiter, Uranus & Neptune in eastern sky.
