David July 2016I have been an amateur astronomer since 1972 and convey my interest in astronomy and the space program by conducting presentations for schools around the Stafford, VA, area. I began my astronomy outreach in 1998 and have developed informative, educational presentations for elementary, middle, and high schools. My presentations include an actual meteorite to see and hold in addition to NASA outreach materials if I have them available.

Also, I write a monthly astronomy column for The Free Lance-Star newspaper serving the Fredericksburg, VA, area. In addition, I am a Solar System Ambassador, a volunteer program sponsored by NASA/JPL.
