I always feel a loss when we have to cancel a star party. I just went out to Caledon to look at conditions there. I measured 1 ½” of snow on the observing field:

We invited people to bring out new telescopes this afternoon, but nobody wants to set up their gear in the snow.

There may be more snow coming. It hasn’t started to snow here, but the leaden sky looks like it could snow at any moment. The wind is pretty stiff, too.
