It looks like it will be a beautiful evening for tonight’s Star Party at Caledon State Park. I hope to see many telescopes there tonight.  The temperature is forecast to be in the 40s and upper 30s, so dress warmly.  Sunset will be 5:54 EST. If you are a beginner, plan to be there early enough to set up before it gets dark.  Venus and Mercury will be visible and look better in a telescope in daylight or twilight.  After dark we will be viewing The Great Orion Nebula and other deep sky jewels, and watching to see if Betelgeuse blows up for us.
