Each Girl Scout age level has several journeys available. One that can be done at each age level is It’s Your World – Change It!
The Junior version of this journey is Agent of Change. It concentrates on Junior Girl Scouts discovering that they are able to change their larger community. The kind of change done in the journey concentrates on community service.
In this context, an educational service, such as astronomy outreach, could be a specific interest project. If a Girl Scout would like to work with an astronomy service during this journey, Rappahannock Astronomy Club can assist
- teaching Girl Scouts how to teach other youths,
- showing how to host community events such as a star party
- help provide a venue within our club events.
